Earthquake Lights
Earthquake lights are in the news, at least in the Milwaukee Examiner news and in a spate of MUFON
reports. The issue is slowly heating up because the incidence is increasing. They have been reported
through history, associated with earthquake or occurring before earthquakes. If we're now seeing them
across the US, this is a certain indication that the rock of the North American continent is under stress,
as the Zetas have stated.

ZetaTalk Prediction 2/10/2006: This creates a diagonal stress on the N American continent where
New England is pulled to the east while Mexico is pulled to the West, so the New Madrid is put
under slip-slide stress where one half, east of the Mississippi, will move toward the NE while the
other, west of the Mississippi, moves toward the SW. The stress on the N American plate will
resolve by ripping. Ripping the St. Lawrence Seaway open. Pulling the SE down into the
crumbling Caribbean and into the widening Atlantic, as neither of these sinking fronts will be
able to support the edge of the weighty N American plate. There is pressure along the West
Coast, of course, and as the N American plate confronts the compressing Pacific, this will only
result in the predictable volcanic increases and West Coast earthquakes. But the primary drama
preceding the pole shift will be the ripping action that a plate unable to move must endure. The
notable area of catastrophe during this is the eastern half of the continental US. From Houston
to Chicago to New England, the diagonal pull will tear the underpinning of cities and create a
catastrophe for the US

A dramatic video of Earthquake Lights was captured in China on May 12, 2008, 30 minutes prior to the
Sichuan earthquake.

Reports describe these lights as multicolored, lighting up the entire sky, and often traveling horizontally.
For instance, in Saratoga Springs, NY on February 19, 2009.
Last night at around midnight, our power dimmed, and a brilliant orange flash lit
up the whole sky. This happened about 3 times within the next 2 minutes, during
which the color shifted to a greener color. Then 4 hours later it happened again,
only this time appeared to be moving down our street.

And in Lafayette, IN on February 11, 2009.
As an avid outdoorsman having spent much time in the field have never seen an
anomaly such as this. The object or flash disappeared as rapidly as it appeared. It
was a bright turquoise in its center with darker vivid blue and green at its edges
and lasted for approx. 2 seconds.

And from Leicester, NY on December 30, 2008.
I glanced up towards the sky to see the sky turn a bright brilliant blue color. The
sky was so brilliant that it seemed to turn the darkness into day. It wasn't lightning
of any type - there was no flash or flicker as there would even be with distant
lighting.

And from Hilmar, CA on December 27, 2008.
The sky was illuminated for a few seconds and I noticed 4 white/blueish lights in a
line traveling east at a very high rate of speed. They were visible behind the clouds
for a split second then vanished. These were not military flares, it was not a
shooting star, and no plane moves this fast. I was in the Army, I've been in Iraq,
I've seen war planes, flares, missiles you name it. What I witnessed tonight was
something I've never seen. I was not drinking, and I don't do drugs.

And from Newark, NJ on December 20, 2008.
My first thought was that it was a shooting star, but two things did not ring true.
One, the color was odd, blue/white as in an electic arc. Similar to arc rod welding.
Secondly, I cannot for the life of me remember seeing a shooting star begin and
end so abruptly, let alone beginning that close to the horizon.

And from Portland, OR on December 21, 2008.
This light pulsed regularly and changed colors randomly from red to blue to white
to a strange green for approximately 3 minutes, then went out. The location of the
lights remained stationary during the entire event.

And from Rochester, PA on January 8, 2009 and Northwest, CT on December 29, 2008. These
incidents continue, and recently in July, 2009 have hit the message board again. What causes earthquake
lights? Wikipedia lists a number of theories, including rock under stress releasing electromagnetic bursts,
methane gas released from pockets under pressure briefly flashing when lit, and even recombinant
hydrogen and oxygen.
- Earthquake Lights

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earthquake_light
- The most common explanation for earthquake lights is the piezoelectric effect in
quartz-bearing rock. Quartz has the unique attribute of emitting electricity under pressure.
Laboratory experiments have shown that this effect can produce light emissions, but they
are, at least in the laboratory, of much shorter duration than reported earthquake lights.
Some researchers theorize that earthquake lights are produced by seismic stresses that may
generate high voltages that create small masses of ionized gas, which are then released
into the air near the fault line. A second popular theory is that, during an earthquake,
small pockets of trapped natural gas are released and ignited by friction. These burning
balls of gas then rise in the air and create the effect of the lights. Another theory is that the
pressure generated during earthquakes may cause water molecules to separate into atoms
of hydrogen and oxygen, then quickly recombine back to water. In the process they
theoretically could release light and create the mysterious earthquake lights.

Examining these theories reduces the likely cause to electromagnetic bursts from rock under pressure.
Recombinant hydrogen and oxygen is an unproven theory. Methane gas release has occurred in recent
years, as the famous Earth Fart day on January 9, 2007, crossing oceans to strike Australia and the UK
as well as the continential US. However, the predominant symptom of methane gas release is a smell of
rotten eggs. When lighting, methane creates Light Towers, not multicolored light moving horizontally.
Static on the radio from electromagnetic bursts released by rock under stress is a known precursor to an
earthquake. The Zetas have confirmed, and explained the electromagnetic radio screeches are a sign of
pending earthquakes. This is in fact the most accurate means of predicting a pending earthquake. It is
these screeches that send pets fleeing and that causes static on the radio.

ZetaTalk Advice 7/15/1995: Humans have a pretty good handle on what the plates are, and
where their boundaries are. Put that into the computer. Humans also have a pretty good handle
on the direction the plates are moving in, as they are staring at the results after every
earthquake. What they don't know is the degree of pressure, and how to restate this pressure
after a quake, which eases the tension in the surrounding rock. This can be done mathematically,
if one takes into consideration the following factors:
- The size of the plate, as measured in a directly proportional way, i.e. as the surface area.

- The thickness at the edge of the plate, as measured by instruments that gauge the depth of
the bedrock, which we deem fairly accurate as done by humans today, and, again, given a
directly proportional weight.

- The frequency of what is termed emergent electrostatic screeches, a sound which can be
detected by sensitive humans, and much more accurately by sensitive instruments. We are
speaking here of bursts of electrical energy, which is invariably accompanied by other
types of energy so that any number of them can be measured. This should be weighted in a
bell curve manner, so that every increase in frequency weighs in more and more severely.

Sinking/Rising Land
A beach in Alaska suddenly heaved, rising 20 feet, and geologists are confused. No earthquake had
occurred with enough force to cause this. What caused the beach to rise?

- 'Uplift' baffles Scientists, Transforms Area Beach

July 8, 2009
http://www.homernews.com/stories/070809/news_1_002.shtml
- Like a giant fist punching through the earth, a 1,000-foot long section of the beach below
Bluff Point rose up 20 feet from the tidelands sometime last Friday or late Thursday,
pushing boulders up from the ocean bottom, cracking sandstone slabs and toppling rocks
upside down. Below Bluff Point, a new fissure opened up at the base of the 800-foot high
cliff. The uplift could be a re-activation of a landslide that happened perhaps 12,000 years
ago. Scientists don't know exactly what caused the uplift. It would take an earthquake over
magnitude 7 to cause an uplift that high, said a geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey
in Anchorage. Visitors to the beach on Friday morning after low tide reported the
rockweed remained wet and fresh, suggesting the uplift happened sometime early July 3 or
late July 2. No major earthquakes were measured by USGS. Below the bluff and bench
might be a curving zone of weakness, with the curve sloping up toward the beach. A huge
land mass above the zone might have slipped, with the underground or beach end rotating
up, thrusting the clay and rocks above it and causing the new uplift. The test of his theory
would be to look for inland fissures, or scarps, at the base of the bluff. Why the uplift
happened now - and didn't happen in the 1964 Great Alaska Earthquake - is unknown.

The Zetas have mentioned a bow stress on the N American west coast, all the way from the Aleutian
Islands to the tip of Mexico. This is another proof that this bow stress exists! A torque, rather than the
compression or slip slide of a large earthquake, caused the land to shift.

ZetaTalk Explanation 7/15/1997: Continents squeezed together invariably find one plate or the
other acting as the loser, subducting or fracturing into pieces that slant at an angle to form new
mountain ranges. Where this squeezing causes new land to rise is where plates fracture, freeing a
portion of a plate to act on its own. Squeezing can force land under, to relieve the stress, but can
also pop land up, so that it rides above another plate. What occurs when an overriding plate
moves across or pushes against an underlying plate depends primarily on what the underlying
plate presents. If the land is fairly flat, the overriding plate will go for a ride, with anything on
the underlying plate scraped along or crushed underneath. If the land is hilly or mountainous
itself, the hills and mountains will be compressed and crumpled, creating a situation where rocks
and earth are flying about, tumbling and spewing.

Land up in Alaska, land down in Germany. For unknown and unexplained reasons, a mass of land, long
stable and populated, slid off into a nearby lake. Germany was also the site of the first dramatic incident
of an imploding building, on March 3, 2009.

- Landslide Tips House into Lake

July 18, 2009
http://www.thelocal.de/national/20090718-20679.html
- The house had been standing some 120 metres from the shore. Half of another house has
also slipped into the lake, once an open-pit. There is some doubt whether one of the
missing people, a 50-year-old man, was in the house at the time of the landslide, but
authorities are assuming that all three were asleep when the accident occurred. A piece of
land 350 metres long and 120 metres wide had collapsed. An entire street had also tipped
into the nearby Lake Concordia. The danger of further landslides prevented rescue
workers from reaching the wreckage of the house, which was completely submerged under
water.

Flaming Water
Tap water in a Colorado household has lately become "flaming water", and the cause has been cited as
methane gas.
- Gas Wells Not Causing Flaming Water

July 15, 2009
http://www.9news.com/news/article.aspx?storyid=119472&catid=339&provider=email
- The Ellsworths first noticed problems with the water last fall. They went public with their
plight with videos of their tap water catching fire when a lighter was held nearby. State
health officials have said the levels of methane gas in the water aren't high enough to
cause health problems. There is a history of naturally occurring methane in groundwater in
Weld County, but further studies may be needed to determine the source.

The Zetas reminded the public that shifting rock layers release methane gas, as in the famous Earth fart
day on January 8, 2007. The Zetas also cite the bow stress on the N American continent.

ZetaTalk Comment 7/18/2009: These are acknowledged to be methane gas in the water.
Obviously this is due to shifting rock, releasing methane from pockets. We have explained that
the West Coast is under great stress due to a bowing all the way from the Aleutians Islands to the
tip of Mexico. This bowing caused the Utah mine collapse in the recent past. It certainly is
affecting the rock strata in Colorado.

Are there signs that Colorado has shifting rock, under stress, of late? Indeed there is. From the photo of
the derailed Colorado train, it appears the derailing track was on flat land, on a straight stretch without
features. What caused the track to deform?

- Coal Train Cars Derail, Spill Load

July 17, 2009
http://www.9news.com/news/article.aspx?storyid=119604&catid=339
- Approximately 34 train cars loaded with coal derailed just west of Limon, spilling coal
across the area. The train tracks run along Interstate 70 in Elbert. The cause of the
accident is still under investigation.
