TOPIC: IRC

Regular monthly IRC chats are held to provide a convenient forum for members to discuss current concerns. A historical reference in the Chat Logs archives reflects the Troubled Times startup years. Chats were resumed in 1999, currently as a Perpetual Chat. Most Internet gateways include IRC facilities and access to a number of IRC servers. IRC software by anonymous FTP is available. Free IRC software is available for Windows 95 and Windows 3.1. To get general IRC questions answered surf to IRC Help or ask the Troubled Times IRC Coordinator, who has posted some IRC Commands, for help. IRC for those on American On-line is available. Those on a MAC can also participate and a MAC Client is available. There is Help for Web TV users, but password protected IRC is a problem. The international Troubled Times team has found it handy to syncronize their watches by checking the UT Clock and the Local Time zone map.
